Pre-Payment Metering       

A Pre-payment Metering System is a system where a customer purchases energy before using it.

The system operates as follows:-

An energy dispenser or pre-payment meter is located at the customer's premises. This has an interface to the customer for managing the transfer of credit and to display the meter and credit status.

Process of Pre-payment Metering System.

The customer purchases electricity energy from a vending station.
A voucher is given upon payment and on the voucher, there is twenty (20) digit code to be keyed into the meter
