The FibreCom Broadband network is the BIGGEST telecom transmission network in Zambia in terms of high capacity optical fibre coverage. FibreCom has also scored a FIRST by introducing for the first time in Zambia, a high speed international link using fibre that is passing through Namibia. The Namibian fibre is connected to the optic fibre system in South Africa and ultimately the landing at Cape Town. FibreCom is currently making arrangements with the Zambian Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to deliver bulk Internet traffic cheaply to Zambia from Europe. FibreCom currently provides backbone services for over ninety (90) percent of the Zambian Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and provides dedicated circuits to Zain and MTN the two biggest mobile telephone operators in Zambia. Other services include the provision of backbone network services for private networks of large institutions like Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) and Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA).
